TMBG Cover?
[edit]I'd like to mention the fact that the song was covered by They Might Be Giants, but I'm not sure where to add it. Help? ~Mandy! (For best results, use twice daily.) 10:45, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Top gear mentioned twice
[edit]Also it mentions the fact top gear uses the single as a opening tune twice? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.40.25.32 (talk) 13:17, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

sounds familiar...
[edit]I swear that I have heard this song in some old NES game. Anyone know if it was? 75.105.128.56 (talk) 19:40, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Fender Rhodes piano?
Someone should correct the page as there´s a serious error there. There´s NO Fender Rhodes piano on the record. Chuck Leavell only plays a grand piano throughout the song. 83.145.226.20 (talk) 09:29, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
name
[edit]any ideas where the song's name comes from? --WhiteDragon (talk) 03:57, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- Jessica is the name of Dickey Betts' daughter SBuchon (talk) 11:20, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Piano / Organ Voice / Major 3rd / Perfect 4th
[edit]This is as wrong as it gets. The Piano melody actually starts a quarter above the guitar and is pretty close to being a perfect 4th above the guitar, but there's also a major 3rd involved. The organ voice has nothing at all to do with a perfect 4th below the guitar. You can see the actual layering of the three voices pretty well in this video. I'm removing the "major 3rd/perfect 4th" stuff and/or try to rephrase it. --NCFH (talk) 19:46, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Dickey Betts is the only legally recognized writer of this instrumental
[edit]Whether it is claimed anywhere by a fan, journalist, bloggist or even Les Dudek himself, the FACTS are that Dickey Betts is the only one who is mentioned on the credits of the "Brothers and Sisters" album, as well as legally registered for writing "Jessica" at the Broadcast Music Inc website which pays royalties to song writers:
"Brothers and Sisters" at allmusic.com :
http://www.allmusic.com/album/brothers-and-sisters-mw0000188946
"Jessica" (Legal Title) at bmi.com :
No need to exaggerate the contributions of Dudek's session work on that particular album here, and/or start spreading unfounded claims after more than 35 years now...
Thank you.

Is Guitar Hero II a notable inclusion to the article?
[edit]Hello,
I'm wondering if adding in the fact that "Jessica" was in Guitar Hero II would be worth including in the "In popular culture" section (or the Cover versions section, since it was a cover of the song done by the developers).
