New Jersey Hitmen → Jersey Hitmen – The team name is always referred to as Jersey Hitmen. The organization legal name is Hitmen of New Jersey but when referencing any particular team, it's Jersey Hitmen + Level - i.e. - Jersey Hitmen NCDC. Jasondeanny (talk) 00:31, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME. The topic is barely notable, so it does not get tons in the way of news hits, but it is typically called "Jersey Hitmen" in most recent articles and more than "New Jersey" anyways. Yosemiter (talk) 01:43, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
Agreed it's barely noticeable but a marketing partner of ours made mention of the way the organization is referenced. The page has also had some impact on Google Knowledge Panels. Our intent is to update the info on the Wikipedia page itself but we're waiting until the page is moved. You wouldn't reference the New York Yankees as "York Yankees". Just trying to remedy an error. - PS @Jasondeanny: I didn't say "noticeable", I said NOTABLE, which has significance on Wikipedia. Also, please read WP:COI due to a possible conflict of interest. Thank you, Yosemiter (talk) 15:22, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
