Notability

[edit]

I found a few articles that are specifically about Jerry Simmons or that mention him as being important to the central idea of the article. I will attach them in references and then remove the notability tag. RMcEvoy128 (talk) 17:10, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have all these articles but I don't know how to fit them in to the page in a way that isn't clunky. Can someone help me out please?
This first one is about him helping an Indy driver, Davey Hamilton, prepare for a race in 1998 and his name is in the title. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1998/07/19/hamilton-finds-his-strength-in-simmons/8f56246a-ed52-4e6a-8086-66aff3229398/
We could make a specific mention of this but it sort of feels insignificant even though it is a notable person.
This next one is specifically about his training regimen, but again I don't know how to fit it into the article.

This article has quotes from him talking about his workout sessions being tough. Again, I just don't know how to fit it in to the article.

There are also articles about his time with the Panthers (https://www.blueridgenow.com/story/news/2001/08/17/panthers-break-camp/28120043007/), the fact that he was retained when the Browns became the Ravens (https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1996/02/22/new-team-retains-5-coaches/766e6fe7-9e8a-42af-8cef-d877b8f6361e/), an article where Vinny Testaverde names him as one of the reasons he joined the Panthers instead of retiring (https://247sports.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/Article/Testaverde-Signs-WIth-Carolina-104459655/), and if you scroll down to the year 2003, he won the "Champions Award." (https://pfscca.com/vote/previous-winners/) This obviously sounds notable but I cannot find any information on what that award recognizes. If we can find that, it could be something worth mentioning in the article.
I would tend to think all of this information validated Simmons as "notable" but getting these sources involved in the equation is the part where assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks! RMcEvoy128 (talk) 18:05, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

His time with the 3rd Special Forces Group

[edit]

According to his LinkedIn, he has been with the special forces since 2013. He was a part of a research project linked here (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/309469344_Development_of_the_Tactical_Human_Optimization_Rapid_Rehabilitation_and_Reconditioning_Program_Military_Operator_Readiness_Assessment_for_the_Special_Forces_Operator) and the end of it has a bio on him saying that he is a part of the 3rd Special Forces as of 2016. Is it ok to use both sources, one for the fact that he began in 2013 and the second to be a secondary outside source verifying it to be true? RMcEvoy128 (talk) 18:19, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
