I love that 1977 pic of him! hahaha! Madangry 19:51, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I must say that is one funny picture. Wonder where they dug that up? Frank Aggro

Where'd it go, though?----Nishad 17:28, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found another 77 picture of him that ive been thinking of uploading. Its not funny but pretty cool. It shows him with spiked hair and if i'm not mistaken, lipstick. ghostbear616 08:56, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Osaka Popstar

[edit]

Added it in. If you have any more information on his involvement, please add it! 782 Naumova 14:38, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

line about danzig and Doyle

[edit]

"He has said that he has no desire to let former singer Glenn Danzig and guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein rejoin The Misfits because of their negative vibe, and "they don't bring the right stuff to the table". " is a pretty strong statement, especially without any citations. I never heard anything like that, and think it should be removed until a source is found -Soapy5 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.203.225.84 (talk) 00:43, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Devilock

[edit]

I think it's stupid of us not to have a picture of him sporting the hairstyle he invented. Whether or not he invented it is debatable, but he certainly made it popular, I think there should be a picture of him with that hair style instead of some crappy old photo. Anyone else? False info

[edit]

There isn't any rumors about a misfits reunion...the last info is false!! It must be cancelled --FFF Fight For Freedom! 12:37, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Career in WCW

[edit]

How come there's no mention of his and the other misfit's career in WCW? I put some info up and some tosser deleted it. Cokeandaroll 09:59, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blitzkid?

[edit]

"In November 2011 Jerry Only threatened to cancel a show in Richmond Virginia if a band known as Blitzkid didn't cancel their own show which was meant to take place the previous night. Blitzkid ultimately ended up canceling their show so Jerry would play. The reasons for the threat remain unknown though has been placed as an instance of "bullying.""

The only citation of this is from a blog that is copying Blitzkid's Facebook status. Is that really a valid source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.99.250.45 (talk) 16:56, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

actually, I'm just gonna go ahead and remove that section. 'Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion.' — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.99.250.45 (talk) 17:33, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's actually not from a blog but a local music journalism news site; not directly from facebook. Making it a properly verifiable source. The above IP address has been given multiple warnings for inappropriate use, vandalism, etc. --FantasticMrHell (talk) 22:13, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry...it looked like a blog. However, if you read the article, he says that his 'research' was done on Facebook and the only source that he got his information from Blitzkid's own Facebook page. Since it's very contentious, poorly sourced, unverified, not really notable (the only thing I could find about this on Google was from the one link that was referenced) and poorly written, it shouldn't be in the article. Also, the computer that I was using uses an IP address that a lot of people can use. I signed in this time. Spgilbert (talk) 18:35, 21 February 2012 (UTC)spgilbert[reply]

I remember seeing the comments about multiple users on your warnings but I wasn't sure of your intent. My apologies for I thought you were trying to take it down for self centered reasons. I do see your point and I'll leave it alone. Thanks for signing this time and please, for future reference it would wise to put the reason for your edits down in the edit summary. --FantasticMrHell (talk) 23:16, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

no problem! i use wikipedia all the time, but this is only the 2nd or 3rd time i've actually made any edits. i didn't even notice the edit summary until i had already clicked 'save'. thanks! Spgilbert (talk) 01:43, 22 February 2012 (UTC)spgilbert[reply]

I still have doubts as to whether or not the topic at hand should or shouldn't be omitted. So I've taken the liberty of messaging other much more experienced editors as to the authenticity of the source and whether or not it is verifiable. The fact that it's contentious is irrelevant according to wiki guidelines if in fact it is a proper source and it was a professionally authored article. It being poorly written is actually only subjective to previous edits. The source will go under review by those outside myself. --FantasticMrHell (talk) 17:37, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What I meant about being poorly written was this part: 'The reasons for the threat remain unknown though has been placed as an instance of "bullying."' If other editors think this should be left in, I'll totally go along with it, but that part needs to be cleared up. Spgilbert (talk) 22:19, 22 February 2012 (UTC)spgilbert[reply]

also, I posted this question on the 'editor assistance' page, and got the following response from 'Spinning Spark': "The reason newspapers are considered reliable sources is that journalists are expected to verify their facts before printing. The usual rule in journalism is that a story should be confirmed by at least two independent sources. The source here is a local student music news network and cannot be trusted to properly verify their stories in the way that, say, a national newspaper would. The author has admitted as much by saying that it is only sourced to the facebook page. He also seems to have a pre-existing pov against Jerry Only and is writing with an agenda. Imo you need at least one more source that substantiates the story in a way that is independent of the facebook page" Spgilbert (talk) 22:58, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Time in The Misfits?

[edit]

Okay, the first paragraph states that Jerry Only, was in every version of The Misfits except the original line up … then, throughout the entry it notes that Jerry Only was a founding member of the band … so, how was he a founding member , yet, not in the original version of the band as well? Someone’s got some essplaing to do! ( Or at the very least, some editing to do.) 75.106.32.81 (talk) 02:44, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
