Year of birth

[edit]

Infobox states 1969, yet he is in the 1970 births category. Which year was he actually born in?Werdnawerdna (talk) 22:17, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1969. the category is wrong. - -[The Spooky One] | [t c r] 02:06, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Death

[edit]

Mark Hoppus confirmed today that Jerry Finn passed away (source). --Abu-Dun Talk 22:27, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey check your source again. ;) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.69.111.200 (talk) 08:50, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please rephrase the part about his death being 'sudden' because it's misleading. His brain hemorrhage was sudden, but having life support removed and thus starving to death took several weeks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manarsa (talkcontribs) 06:39, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Date of life support removal

[edit]

{editsemiprotected}Life support for Jerry Finn, following his hemorrhage in July, was actually August 9, 2008, not August 12th. [1]. The erroneous information included in the Billboard article (and in other articles that used Billboard as their source), stemmed from the fact that the official announcement of life support removal was made on August 12, 2008. I'll review this. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 16:11, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've copyedited a little; please revert if necessary.

  • His body was cremated and his ashes were given to his family is uncited.
  • I didn't understand the discussion of compression; is this referring to gain compression?
  • There are some Harvard errors in the footnotes: 7, 17, and 18 don't link to the refs.

That's all I can see. If you plan to take this to FAC, I think the prose needs some polishing, but it's straightforward and concise enough for GA. Once these issues are fixed I will pass the article. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 16:54, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks! This has been on the GA noms for a while so I'm thankful you got to it :) The cremation sentence wasn't added by me and as it's unsourced, I've removed it. I've addressed both of your other concerns, so we should be good to go! Thanks a lot :) Happy holidays! Saginaw-hitchhiker (talk) 23:34, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Fixes look good, so I'm passing this. Congratulations, and happy holidays to you too. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 13:44, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
