[edit]Are these documents at Yale University including correspondence related to him? FloridaArmy (talk) 23:01, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- We have him as a co-founder of the New York Age but I helieve he worked for T. Thomas Fortune at the paper that preceded it hefore moving up to wditor and then becoming one of the theee publishers ofnthe New York Age?
- The timeline seems a little off. After his newspaper work he was a Deputy revenue official under Charles W. Anderson, also a black federal official, recommended him for the Puerto Cabello consular position.
- Sources say he held the position only a year and that the pay was too low so her returned to a revenue position? He was then given the higher paying position in San Juan Puerto Rico? FloridaArmy (talk) 09:52, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
Here is a genealogy page for his wife. Includes a link to her findagrave page and a wedding document. FloridaArmy (talk) 09:56, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
