Jax in infobox

[edit]

I know he never played for them, hence the disclaimer. I do not think it is harmful to have Jacksonville in the infobox as long as I make a note of that he was never a regular season member. If he signed with someone else, it also helps to create a "timeline" so someone isn't mislead to think he went straight from the Vikings to his next team. For these reasons, I feel my edit is more informative than the alternative.►Chris Nelson 20:16, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CJN - I cannot possibly begin to fathom why I have to come here and defend this edit to you (which was supported by Yankees10 (talk · contribs) when he removed that category). You had agreed to stop edit warring and you are doing it again. Wiggins never suited up for the Jaguars in a game and was never eligible to appear in a regular season game. Please feel free to put this information in the prose of the article. You don't see this done in any other sport; please remove the contentious edit. Juan - I'm not edit warring with you. I'm simply adding information I feel betters the article. But just because Yankees10 might not agree doesn't change anything. Why is my opinion (or the opininons of Soxrock, Phbasketball6, Wlmaltby3 or Pats1, who all agree with my edit) any less valid than yours? Your argument "Wiggins never suited up for the Jaguars in a game and was never eligible to appear in a regular season game" isn't sufficient because my edit doesn't go against that. That's specifically what the asterisk and note are for. As for not seeing this done in any other sport - I'm being bold.►Chris Nelson 20:24, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, please do not revert my edit at this time. If you are not willing to discuss the issue further, especially when I can provide a handful of people that are in favor of it, it's not fair to remove it. I know it's not common, but I sincerely think it's a really good idea and adds to the article. This is not a personal thing with you - I've added this to tons of pages you've never touched before. I just like this edit and I will defend it (I mean on the talk page, not with edit warring).►Chris Nelson 20:33, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I dont think it is needed just put it in the article that he was on the Jaguars--Yankees10 02:41, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a good enough reason.►Chris Nelson 14:24, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
