Text should be updated to reflect that Jeremy Pruitt has just been named the head coach of Tennessee. Killabite850 (talk) 15:16, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It already was and got taken off. I already fixed it back. United States Man (talk) 15:24, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Is he actually the head coach yet? Is he coaching at Alabama through the playoffs? BrineStans (talk) 15:32, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
According to this article, he has accepted UT's deal for head coach[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Averagetennesseejoe (talkcontribs) 16:23, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
But is he still the DC at Alabama? Other sites are reporting he will remain Alabama's DC through the playoffs. If so, the wording in the lede needs to be modified. BrineStans (talk) 16:27, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This is a huge problem with Wikipedia now - everything is edit protected! This isn't even about 9/11 or Israel or Trump - it's about when Jeremy Pruitt's head coaching job at Tennessee begins? According to all indications I've seen - he is still DC at Bama through the post-season. So he is not in the present tense head coach of Tennessee. The sidebar indicates he is UT coach from 2018-. Take off the unnecessary edit protection or at least fix the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.228.32.148 (talk) 01:36, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is there are some anonymous users who like to vandalize or insert information that is speculative resulting in a protection. Pruitt is currently doing both right now according to Nick Saban in this release. He'll remain through the end of the season and the lede has been changed to reflect this. Seems like this has been resolved. —MRD2014 Happy Holidays! 02:54, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
