P.S. 23 Jun 13: My original change (with an addition to the text pointing out the error) was removed twice, so I have now simply removed the clearly erroneous reference to Nixon's statement about Jeremiah O'Leary's father, also a reporter. 64.41.15.218 (talk) 04:45, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If anyone sees this and knows how to fix this error:

    Reference 1 is a 1969 statement by President Nixon on the death of Jeremiah Aloysius O'Leary Sr., the father of the subject of this article and also a Washington reporter.
    As the article correctly says, Jr. died in 1993.
    He was alive when I met him in 1978.
