Politician?
[edit]Was he really a politician?
Only one source I found (http://venn.lib.cam.ac.uk/cgi-bin/search.pl?sur=&suro=c&fir=&firo=c&cit=&cito=c&c=all&tex=DK598J&sye=&eye=&col=all&maxcount=50) says the following: "By will (P.C.C.) he leaves to his s. Jeremy 'my silver tankard bestowed upon me by the honourable House of Commons.'"
This could mean that he was connected to the House of Commons and was possibly an MP. Or it could simply be that he had done a service for them and was rewarded; not that he was a politician who served there. Just wondering; more research probably needed if considered necessary.--FeanorStar7 (talk) 01:43, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
?He may have just been invited from his Epping parish in Essex to preach before Parliament and was so bestowed for his service — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:CB1D:8A66:5400:4959:3C25:C1B2:B2D5 (talk) 10:43, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
