Year of birth

The negative BLP issue

I disagree, this BLP is missing a lot of citations unfortunately and needs clean up. Almost none of the exhibition history is cited, none of this early history is cited. I will try to add in tags to it is made clear and can be worked on. Jooojay (talk) 18:30, 22 January 2018 (UTC)

Early life and education

While studying at Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, Hoffmann staged and directed a number of productions at the school theatre Berlin Workers' Theater (also known as Berliner Arbeiter-Theater), including fragments and adaptations of works by Nikolai Gogol, William Shakespeare, Heiner Müller, and Alexander Ostrovsky.[citation needed] His final production at Berlin Workers' Theater was Oscar Night, written by Rene Pollesch.[citation needed]

Months later and this is still an issue. Primarily with removal of the cited "Sexual harassment controversy" paragraph and removal of multiple citations throughout the article. There is no dispute about the allegations being made. The article continues to mention those allegations with citations. However other new researched material on parts of the article is being removed repeatedly even though it is written from an NPOV and not fluffing any credentials as previously remarked by another editor. I am adding a note here about all of the news sources that have acknowledge Jens Hoffmann's issues with the sexual harassment controversy - since there seems to be a misunderstanding by an single editor (with a bouncing IP) that this news was only published in ArtNews.com or ArtNet.com. I have found this news is also on various other new websites, including: New York Times, SF Gate, Metro Times Detroit, Huffington Post, ArtForum, Forward.com, ArtAsiaPacific, Hypoallergenic, Frieze, The Times of Israel, and more. The issues of harassment were indeed published by other news outlets but are simply a reputation from what ArtNet and ArtNew reported without any further original research going into those articles. All these sources can be added to the article if other editors which to do so. I just noticed that because of this issue other edits about the person have been repeatedly been undone as far back as 2018 and by only one specific editor. I suspect a possible bias. Pol1997 (talk)

@POL1997: the original research WP:NOR on this topic is not appropriate for Wikipedia. These twelve citations, all from WP:RS should be enough for the statements. This article has a long history of COI edits from bouncing IPs, and many of the past COI edits look similar to your current ones. Sexual Harassment Controversy

The accusations about sexual harassment in regards to Jens Hoffmann are all unsubstantiated. No fact, no evidence or proof was brought forward. ArtNews reported on this first and a number of other web-sites republished the ArtNews posting with very little variation and again without bringing any evidence forward. At this point these allegations are simply gossip and slander and possibly cause Hoffmann harm. Allegations were made, they were investigated by the Jewish Museum, he was fired from or resigned from several positions. None of this is disputed by any of the parties. Hoffmann's position is literally quoted in the section. Plandu (talk) 04:40, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
