Jenny Taylor (Journalist) → Jenny Taylor — I was trying to distinguish between the exisiting Jenny Taylor (a film character) - but I think I did this wrong. Does it need disambiguation instead? Apologies - am new to this.--AlithM (talk) 00:40, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support. The existing Jenny Taylor is simply a redirect to an article about a movie where a character uses that name, with no incoming links. Certainly an actual article about a real person should take precedence. Station1 (talk) 09:00, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- ♦ - So what happens now? (AlithM (talk) 14:05, 4 January 2011 (UTC))
- Support, but we need an admin to do the move. – ukexpat (talk) 19:27, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. The film character may not be widely known , but neither is the journalist; she is clearly a woman with great expertise in her field, but it is a specialised niche . Disambiguate the two, and then all the links can point in the right direction. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 08:41, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- But there are no links. Station1 (talk) 02:58, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support A real article always takes precedence over a redirect. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 20:25, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Support, pointless to create a dab page with only two items when one of them clearly has a reason to be primary topic, although another solution would be to redirect Jenny Taylor to Jennifer Taylor and move this article to the correctly capitalized Jenny Taylor (journalist). (Which I've just done, in fact, since I don't think it's controversial as an interim solution.)--Kotniski (talk) 12:17, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
