[edit]Famous Blue Raincoat is being reissued on Shout Factory Records with 3 new songs and a live version of Joan of Arc in August 07
The second paragraph (since removed) stated that Jennifer surpassed the record for singers who sang songs nominated for a best song Oscar. Paragraph stated the record was held by Frank Sinatra with 4, with the new record of 5 supposedly now held by Jennifer. This was incorrect, as the record was and is held by Doris Day, with 6. They are: 1) It's Magic 2) It's A Great Feeling 3) Secret Love 4) I'll Never Stop Loving You 5) Whatever Will Be Will Be (Que Sera, Sera) 6) Julie — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.7.156.155 (talk) 19:06, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Surname pronunciation
[edit]How does Jennifer pronounce "Warnes"? On an episode of Jeopardy! this week, Alex Trebek pronounced it like the word "worn", i.e., silent "S". Is that correct? Robert K S (talk) 23:02, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Eyeglasses
[edit]How many other female performers wear eyeglasses on stage? Can't think of anyone else at the moment. Is there a specific reason she doesn't wear contacts? Someone must have written about this at some point. Wish I had time to check.... Ellsworth (talk) 12:49, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Personal life
[edit]There is very little about it, and nothing about her current personal life. Married? Boyfriend/girlfriend/children? Hobbies? Charity work? We need more. -- Brangifer (talk) 16:55, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Distinguishing between Jennifer Warnes - The Singer and Jennifer Warren - The Actress
[edit]Singer Jennifer Warnes, as mentioned in Wikipedia's biography of her, briefly performed for a time with the last name of Warren before discovering that there was an actress named Jennifer Warren, which resulted in Warnes choosing to perform under her original surname. There is no known record of any personal or professional connection between these two persons.

Collaboration with Arthur Russell (musician)
[edit]Somebody from Maine wrote the following:
Also, in the late 1980s, Warnes collaborated in a vocal duet with New York underground artist Arthur Russell on the latter's cult classic "That's Us/Wild Combination", a song that was released in 2004, 12 years after Russell's death. The song has received increased exposure in recent years as Russell's posthumous reknown has steadily risen following a 2008 biography film documenting his music and life.
I have removed this bit three times because it overstates the actual situation which is that the song is not important to Warnes' biography. Certainly it's true that Warnes sang on the song, but there's no published material about a "cult" of listeners who are making this song a "classic". As well, it is debatable whether Russell's "reknown" is increasing, and whether the song's exposure is increasing.
What I'm looking for is a music critic writing something in depth about the song and about Warnes singing on it. That would establish its importance to the topic. Binksternet (talk) 17:44, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
