When were the independent albums published?
[edit]I would like to include that in the information on Jennifer Knapp that I expect to publish on http://christianmusic.wikia.com tomorrow. Will (Talk - contribs) 05:12, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Found that elsewhere and put those years into the article. However, I am still missing the release year of 8 Greatest Hits. Will (Talk - contribs) 21:40, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Jennifer Knapp 8 Great Hits was released in 2004, according to most pages I came across (though one page listed the specific release date of Jan. 21, 2005). FYI, it appears that the "8 Great Hits" series is something Gotee and other companies did with a lot of their top properties; there's a ton of those things for all different artists, and the package is nearly identical in all cases, except for the artist's picture and the name of the artist. It looks like some of the external links may have been sources
[edit]It certainly is worth some more in depth analysis than I can provide. The most likely candidate would be http://www.jenniferknapp.net followed closely by http://www.jenniferknapp.com/. Will (Talk - contribs) 20:37, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
The new Jennifer Knapp section at Christian Music is done
[edit]Or at least as far as I will take it. See http://christianmusic.wikia.com/wiki/Jennifer_Knapp.
School
[edit]Shouldn't it be Pittsburg State University? That is assuming she went to the university in Pittsburg, Kansas. She is from Chanute, after all. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Knownbeforetime (talk • contribs) 03:52, 25 April 2007 (UTC).
- It is. There is no "Pittsburgh" State University, not even in Pennsylvania. I corrected the spelling. Nolefan32 03:49, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Citations etc
[edit]People, you can't simply write in what you know about her off the top of your head. You have to cite it. Also please don't refer to her as "Jen" or tell people "You can buy here record here:" neither of these are appropriate for an encyclopedia entry. --Kraftlos (talk) 19:05, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
NPOV #1
[edit]In the person life section, the entry comments that Ms. Knapp "no longer attends church." Ms. Knapp does reply "no" when asked "You're living in Nashville. Are you in a church these days?" However, earlier the interview established that Ms. Knapp has moved back to Nashville from overseas in the past 9 months, with some of that time involving touring. She does not say that she no longer attends church at all, as the Wikipedia passage above indicates.
NPOV #2
[edit]In the person lifer section, the entry states that "implies that she neither considers herself a "Christian" musician per se nor intends to market herself exclusively through the Christian music industry as she did prior to her hiatus." While "implies" is self-evidently NPOV dubious, no where in the interview does Ms. Knapp say she is not a "Christian" musician, instead she refers to herself as a "Christian" on several occasions. Also, Ms. Knapp does explicitly say "this isn't a Christian record, and it's not going to be marketed to Christian radio", while the above wikipedia text only indicates that Ms. Knapp implied such.
- Thanks for bringing this up, JamieS93 (talk · contribs) seems to have brought the text more in line with the sources. —Soap— 20:56, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
