Jegathala village, Nilgiris/நீலகிரி/नीलगिरीस
Jegathala is one of the prominent villages in Nilgiris, it is a panchayat town. It is located at an altitude of 1,850 m above sea level. It is 5 km from Coonoor and 13 km from Ooty.
The village is known for it temples, it is surrounded by temples on all four sides. The main festivals celebrated here are Hetthai Habba, Thear Habba (Chariot), Neelamariamman (navarathri festival), and Deva Habba.
