Why is he listed as German player?
[edit]Why is he listed as a German player? He was only born there, but left for England as a young kid. You are only German by blood and obviously he is not German as his parents are from Ghana. Norum 10:29, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
- He has played for Germany at youth level. If he was not German, how would he be eligible to play for that country? And no, you are not only "German by blood". People of all sorts of backgrounds can be born in any country and be a national of that country. I was born in Canada but my parents were from Europe. Are you saying I'm not Canadian? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.163.150.14 (talk) 18:34, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Your ethnicity is wherever your parent's are from. If they are Italian, then your ethnicity is Italian. I doubt you would find any REAL Germans that would consider him as German. Norum 16:00, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
Let me put this into a clearer picture...let's see..Schweinsteiger, Rummenigge, Brehme, Matthäus, Augenthaler, Völler....see, those guys are actually German. Schlupp, Özil, Boateng...not so much. Norum 01:32, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Dear lord, nonsensical "arguments"..anyways..Schlupp sounds very german, is it safe to say his parents are both from Ghana? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.205.64.97 (talk) 22:04, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
