[edit]Bernard's four wives are mentioned - it is possible for their names to be listed?--TimothyJacobson (talk) 18:46, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
A fair point but I'm not sure Jeff himself could've successfully listed all four at a first attempt. There are 4 newspaper obits listed (with dates) but the hyperlinks go to the wiki articles about the newspapers so this should be improved.TheMathemagician (talk) 10:15, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
His grave in Kensal Rise crematorium stone lies at the top of racehorse trainer Barry Hills gallops in Lambourn, Berkshire.
I've read this twenty times and it does not make sense. If he has a grave, he is buried, yet 'crematorium' suggests he was burnt. So what happened, and what, exactly is at Lambourn? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.12.246.106 (talk) 22:19, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
'Bernard had begun to explore Soho and Fitzrovia with his brother Bruce. Seduced by the area's lurid glamour, he moved there at 16, supporting himself in a variety of jobs that were at odds with his middle-class background, including boxer, building labourer, kitchen assistant and coal miner, ...' Were there coal mines in Soho? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.80.79.195 (talk) 19:47, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
- He moved out of London to be a coal miner at Hanley Deep colliery near Stoke-on-Trent & a farm labourer in Suffolk but, as the article says, was always drawn back to Soho. 90.241.28.111 (talk) 22:47, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
A very strange final line...
[edit]"which would arguably make Jeffrey Bernard the virtual minus-first-cousin-in-law to Dominique Francon."
Is this vandalism or some joke I don't get?Anonymous watcher (talk) 11:14, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Third cousin
[edit]Is it really of note to mention who Jeffrey Bernard's third cousin is? Seems tenuous to me. Tom (talk) 01:40, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- Yes. They are notable. CassiantoTalk 10:30, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
