Alumni Section
[edit]The Alumni section must have been written by a sports enthusiast. What about Teresa Ganzel?--Davjosmes (talk) 06:35, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
This article now looks pretty clean. I added a bit on Jefferson's construction, and mod-system. This was based on memory from talks with my teachers, particularly our senior year economics teacher (can't remember his name unfortunately..) in 1993. I left out a long diatribe on exactly how bitter most of these teachers were, and what a hellhole the high school was. You're welcome, wikipedia. 209.101.205.18 18:21, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Peter Vessenes
Selwold was teaching economics there in the late 80s and early 90s. I'm not sure if that's who you're thinking of. There were some bitter teachers and also some happy and capable teachers there around this time. I don't know where the term 'hellhole' comes from, though. There are much worse schools around the Twin Cities metro area.
I would say Jefferson (in the early 90s) was typical of suburban Twin Cities high schools such as Edina and others. The years around when I graduated there were a quite few National Merit Scholars, which can't reflect too poorly on the school. I would say from comparison between what I learned and what students I've met from other schools seem to have learned in high school that the science curriculum was a bit weak, but the math, english, and social studies instruction was fine to above average. --Recurve7 (talk) 23:58, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Assessment
[edit](Start/low) Needs some work, especially to bring it up to date. Citations need to added and those that exist need to be put in the proper format. Alumni need citations, though all look source-able and famous. — Calebrw (talk) 23:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
