Maybe for You
[edit]Is this track actually the one that was recorded for Windows of Heaven? That would explain why Jack plays bass on it. The article said Marty wrote it though, which would imply a different song. JoeD80 (talk) 23:55, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- This one was answered in the liner notes. It is the track from Windows of Heaven placed on the album because Marty did not make it to the recording sessions for "Rocket Launcher" JoeD80 (talk) 08:34, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Surprise Author
[edit]I don't know any sources on who wrote 'Surprise' but I think it's a new tune written by David Freiberg. The article only mentions Grace Slick so for now I credited both of them since as far as sources go I only have seen one so far and it and I could be completely wrong. JoeD80 (talk) 08:34, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Now I hear Jack Traylor? Where is the source? JoeD80 (talk) 05:39, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- According to the Dallas-Fort Worth News (WFAA), Grace Slick wrote the song. So did Slick write the song and Traylor take lead vocals? Interesting. I await further sources on this one. JoeD80 (talk) 23:23, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Reviews
[edit]Tracking down reviews of the album now. I think Q and Rolling Stone will have at least short articles in their next issues. I did notice a review on Wal-Mart which apparently Wal-Mart writes on their own. Probably can't count that as unbiased since they are trying to sell product! I did add blogcritics and the Boston Herald so far. Will try to track down a San Francisco Chronicle review. JoeD80 (talk) 18:35, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Time of Recording for hidden track
[edit]Paul said this track is from 30 years ago, which isn't quite the time of Sunfighter (1978). Is there a source for when exactly this track was recorded? It seems more likely that if it is from 1971, that it's from the Planet Earth Rock & Roll Orchestra tapes. JoeD80 (talk) 04:31, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
