Member of Babe Ruth?
[edit]I'm trying to track down evidence that Jeff Allen was *really* in Babe Ruth. There's nothing about him in the First Base page, and (tellingly) he's not mentioned on the official Babe Ruth website. He's mentioned on Rockdetector as being on the first single, but they perpetuate the "Hello" fallacy, so I'm uncertain as to their trustworthiness. --Matt Westwood 06:43, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I noticed he *is* on the First Base page. No indication that he was actually a member of the band, though. Was he a guest, or a session man, or what?
- Rockdetector have been debunked BTW as Rupert's Magic Feather was not by Babe Ruth at all but by Baby Ruth, a completely different band. --Matt Westwood 07:23, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Somewhat a ridiculously late reply, but the article does not state that Allen was a member of Babe Ruth, rather that he worked with them. Over which, there is little doubt. Albeit in the session musician tradition, the connection was fleeting. Thanks,
