This is a quickfail, but not for any reasons of quality. Rather, I believe the page's current length merits a split before being considered here at GAN.

In nearly five months at GAN, this page has ballooned from 10,800 to 12,400 words, largely due to the course of news events. I believe a page of Presidency of Jeanine Áñez is merited as a standalone topic, spinning out most of the section while leaving a reduced-size (but substantial) summary in this article, and Arrest and prosecution of Jeanine Áñez is also worth exploring in the same vein.

The page currently has 77,000 characters readable prose size, which WP:PAGESIZE suggests "probably" should be divided (in the 60–100K range). Generally, 10,000 words is seen as the upper limit for featured articles.

A casual look at the article suggests it is not far from GA for the most part. It is extensively cited, and much work has been done to keep it at GA quality despite a high edit volume in the intervening months.

My only observation worth noting now—and which should be done before any split—is that all images need alt text (MOS:ALT) and the table needs a caption (MOS:DTAB), both for accessibility purposes.

Krisgabwoosh, I am willing to return and review this page and/or its descendants once a proper split has been carried out. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 03:36, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Transcluded from user talk page: Totally agree! My original intent was indeed to eventually split prosecution into its own article, though admittedly I had hoped to have gotten around to it sooner. Given recent expansion (and edit warring) I had actually been thinking about withdrawing the nomination (the only thing stopping me was my inability to figure out how, lol), so I appreciate the quickfail. I'll renominate the article once the prosecution section (at the very least) has been split and also meets GA standards. Krisgabwoosh (talk) 05:12, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
