Clodovil Hernandes mention
[edit]I was bold and converted the Clodovil Hernandes mention in the lede from a parenthetical to an explanatory footnote because it does seem out of place and not really in accordance with MOS:LEAD. It might be possible to make direct mention of Hernandes in the body of the article to exapnd on Wyllys being the "second openly gay member of parliament" and to add content between the differences between both men regarding same sex marriage and other things politically, but just adding that to the lede seems out of place. It also might not even be necessary to mention Hernandes anywhere at all in the article since the cited source refers to him as "the first openly gay member of parliment". Even if that's not the case and the source is wrong about that, a simple citation showing him to be the second after Hernandes seems more than sufficient. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:09, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
Unfair revert
[edit]User:Coltsfan, could you please explain exactly why did you revert good faith, productive edits? I doesn’t make sense at all, so is there anything you want to say for yourself? Btw I’be just created this account, I’m the IP 201.16.148.184. Damonshady (talk) 11:47, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Funny, "new guy", you "just created this account", but you edit just like other WP:EVADERS ([1] [2]), but all a giant coincidence, right? Anyway, don't use words and phrase that contradicts existing sources in the article, don't extrapolate the sources, don't make significant changes in the article without citing sources. Coltsfan (talk) 11:59, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Excuse me? Are you accusing me of me something? Do I need to cite sources to fix typos and improve wording? I didn’t remove any crucial information, so get busy! --Damonshady (talk) 12:01, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah. It's another "new guy" knows who how wikipedia works enough to WP:GAME, edits with the same words as others and same reasoning as others who were blocked by WP:EVADE. So yeah, i got reasons to be suspicious. No, you don't need sources for typos, but if you change phrases that change the context of said phrase, contradicting the existing sources, then you need new sources. Coltsfan (talk) 12:04, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Let the checkusers do their job and stop accusing innocent people. And point out exactly where I need sources because I didn’t change any context just fixed typos, improved wording and tried to make it more npov. Why don’t you leave my version and find sources where you think it needs? Because this is what WP is supposed to be, a free collaborative project, right? Damonshady (talk) 12:18, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- There any many “citation needed” tags so why don’t you help to find sources if you’re really concerned about it? Or you just want to pick a fight for pettiness? Damonshady (talk) 12:22, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

"Imminent risk of death"
[edit]The OAS once determined in 2017 that Jean was under "imminent risk of death". Could this be inserted into the entry, as it provides context for his resignation?
Here's the source: https://g1.globo.com/politica/noticia/2019/01/25/jean-wyllys-diz-que-viver-sob-escolta-e-sob-constante-difamacao-nao-e-viver-plenamente.ghtml
And in November 2018 the OAS demanded that Brazil protect him: https://www.correiobraziliense.com.br/app/noticia/politica/2018/11/28/interna_politica,722031/oea-exige-que-brasil-garanta-a-seguranca-do-deputado-jean-wyllys.shtml Rafe87 (talk) 21:08, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Controversial Laws proposed by Wyllys
[edit]000000000000 @Coltsfan: I first deleted the part about controversial laws proposed by wyllys because it induced the reader to believe in fake news. Wyllys, for example, did not propose the PL 9394/96, he only supported it. Also, the law does not talk about teaching Islamic religion at school, it is about recognizing the religious diversity in Brazil. Please, I kindly ask you to not undo my edition again. Cheers,
