Photographs

[edit]

On my photo site there are some pictures from the tinguely museum. They are photographed inside the museum, I therefore do not know if its allowed to use them. If it is and you would like to use some of them for the article, then leave me a message at my talk page and I change the licence of the picture to a creative commons licence. Unfortunately I do not know which works are from Tinguely and which from Niki de Saint-Phalle because there was a mixed exhibition. The page is at: http://helohe.deviantart.com/ --helohe (talk) 03:45, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for sharing. --Cantkant (talk) 10:54, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth

[edit]

Tinguely was not possibly born in 1955. If he was a member of the Parisian Avant Gard of the 50's and 60's he must have been much older as with this date of birth he would have been 15 in 1970. Furthermore if you look at the information presented in the article about Niki de Saint Phalle it claims that de SP met Tinguely and his wife in '55. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 139.140.178.24 (talk) 22:31, 22 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Videos of Kinetic Art

[edit]

Is it possible to have some links to some of Tinguely's sculpures at work?

Tinguely museum

[edit]

It would be nice to add some information about the Tinguely museum in Basel, if any other user has some useful information to share.

Photographs of Study for an End of the World No. 2

[edit]

I added a reference showing photographs of Study for an End of the World No. 2 (https://sartoriallyinclined.blogspot.com/2010/08/study-for-end-of-world-no-2.html). I received a warning about citing a blog, but ignored it because:

1. I have no connection with the author of the blog (no self-promotion). 2. The blog cited Life magazine for the photographs (cited). 3. I fruitlessly searched the Life magazine web site for the original photographs (no alternative source). 4. It seemed to me the photographs, published by Life in 1962, went into the public domain in 2012 (fair use).

I could be wrong about any of reasons 2 to 4 and invite you to help. Robert P. O'Shea (talk) 08:21, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
