[edit]Requesting a clarification of "antetype" versus "antitype" in the phrase "a common medieval theme, the ancestors and antetypes of Christ." Rncooper (talk) 14:43, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- "Ante" means "before" and "anti" against in Latin. see typology (theology) Johnbod (talk) 15:25, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Gallery
[edit]I recommend that the Gallery section be eliminated or the images be organized differently. As it stands now, there are four thumbnail images throughout the article, followed by a Gallery of only one painting. I suggest that either more of the thumbnails get moved into the Gallery, the Gallery image gets moved into the article, or the gallery image gets removed since there is now a Media Commons link where people can go to see as many works as available. - It is better that they see the chosen works in the context of the article. Also, Wikipedia articles develop, and so more pictures may be added to the gallery with time. qp10qp (talk) 13:24, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, all the Commons pics are used already, & any more would be added to the gallery (next 3 anyway)Johnbod (talk) 13:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
