[edit]Somebody should rewrite the sentence "Dubuffet sought to create an art as free from intellectual concerns as Art Brut, and his work often appears primitive and child-like." HE would probably say that HE is ATTEMPTING an art that goes TOWARDS this freedom, but he would NEVER imply that he would be able to achieve it. I'm trying to compose a new sentence to replace this one, but so far my language seems clunky. Please, somebody, beat me to it. Mtomko (talk) 20:00, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Reception in America section: "reactionary"
[edit]There seems to be a problem with diction here. This phrase is unclear: "Americans were intrigued by Dubuffet's simultaneous roots in the established French vanguard and his work, which was so reactionary to his background." Suggestions? Aolivex (talk) 20:24, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Request to remove problem banner
[edit]This page has a banner from 2010, asking that this article be improved with in-line citations. It is now thoroughly sourced. Can we consider removing the banner now, or adjusting it to better reflect the quality of this article? Aolivex (talk) 20:29, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, you can be bold and remove it. Nobody is reviewing these notes systematically, including the users who stick them. trespassers william (talk) 21:05, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

La Tour aux Figures at Olympics
[edit]A major work was featured in the TV coverage of the Olympic marathons yesterday and today. I was surprised to see that the tower receives little coverage on the artist's page or in its own article like other major works in the US. Coverage appears very American centric at the moment.
