Date of Birth

According to this AP news article, her son Roy does not know her exact DOB in August 1922, because a fire destroyed records.

I see that IMDB says "August 23". Is that reliable when her own son doesn't know? JackGavin (talk) 17:07, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have a transcription of her original 1922 birth certificate, but I'm not sure it could be used as a reliable source here in Wikipedia. August is the correct month, but she was actually born on the 21st. OscarL 18:40, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. The transcription is a photocopy? With provenance? The AP story listed no individual reporter, but if you can find local coverage and offer your transcription to that reporter, who could offer it to the son, then maybe it could be verified by him from other details, and be reported in a story we could cite.
