Real name

She was not born Jean Leete. Leete was her mother's maiden name. Her father was Alexander W. Carson, as per United States 1930 census records. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 21:23, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Distinctive Voice

Did she have the raspy voice heard during the Andy Griffith Show (which was clearly being taken to be a joke as every time she talks, they pump up the laugh track) throughout her career?
