Date of Death

[edit]

There are several contradictory claims of the date of death. The Arban Edition from Dover Publications (ISBN 978-0486479552), the old edition from Carl Fisher (now in the public domain, available on IMSLP) and the edition from Encore Music Publishers (ISBN 979-0800004032 Parameter error in {{ISBN}}: invalid group id) state that the date of death was on April 9, 1889) --WittyWombat (talk) 14:12, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adnan Method.

[edit]

Anyone reading this wants a brief description as to what the method is, not information about who wrote the footnotes What is the Method??? Rustygecko (talk) 09:20, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong reference - possible bad faith

[edit]

There's a hyperlink to the current singer Olivia Rodrigo at the beginning of the article. It reads Jean-Baptiste Arban took influence from hers. 2804:1B2:AA40:25:7D4D:38C3:953A:31F (talk) 01:15, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurate title*

[edit]

Has the article been edited by Dover's marketing department or just by some pathetic groupie of theirs? To claim that its title, updated or otherwise, mentions the trumpet is the worst sort of moronic lying. It's a cornet book. Trumpet players use it. Dover's desperate effort to secure more sales for its version has no place here. 2A00:23C8:4711:9301:D0FA:C84A:46CF:AA82 (talk) 11:30, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

*I altered the subject line of this section as I thought it was a bit too confrontational for a pretty harmless music article. I hope no-one minds but I thought it probably broke the Talk page rules. As for the point, I have not yet looked properly at it, sorry. DBaK (talk) 10:02, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
