Notability?
[edit]Jayapataka Swami has been a principle leader of a global religious movement for the past 30 years which is surely notable enough for a Wikipedia. In terms of media, he has appeared on various TV documentaries (Louis Theroux, etc...) and gets over 26,000 unique hits in Google. Regards, Gouranga(UK) 11:20, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- Gouranga, I have to agree with you on this one. Although the sources are far from perfect, the individual is notable. Ism schism (talk) 18:39, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Improvement
[edit]This article requires improvement, but it doesn't help to add 5,000 bytes worth of fact tags and notices. Please be sensible with edits, or make comments regarding possible improvement here on the talk page. Regards, Gouranga(UK) (talk) 18:35, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- The article needs cutting out to remove all material that is not verifiable or POV Wikidas (talk) 18:45, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hello Wikidas, I'm all for improving the article, but the tags were a bit excessive. Jayapataka Swami is obviously a notable guru and the officially unofficial GBC is about the best source on the net for a lot of relevant info. I don't think anything in that has to be further verified. Regards, Gouranga(UK) (talk) 14:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Wikidas, thank you for all the work you have put into this article and its references. I really appreciate how you have transformed so many Vaishnava related articles like this one. Thank you. Ism schism (talk) 05:41, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
The article is unsourced and I have removed all unsourced information as per our BLP policies. If people want to restore it, they need to find reliable sources. --Cameron Scott (talk) 12:50, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
