Missile weight is wrong
[edit]Please check under Specifications / Weight. Something is wrong there (weight = 0.076m?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.207.101.112 (talk) 09:44, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Afghanistan?
[edit]I know that Blowpipes were available to the mujahideen, but the Javelin? Is there a source for this information?--172.190.23.13 (talk) 04:13, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Canada
[edit]Did the Canadian Forces use the Javelin, or the Javelin S-15 aka. Starburst? Both articles seem to suggest they used that version. Maury Markowitz (talk) 11:42, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
Canada had a specific version of Javelin known as MCCL with a limited number of RF channels, the standard had two 8 way rotary switches in the aiming unit to select 1 of 64 channels to prevent interference if multiple operators engaged the same target. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.161.143.13 (talk) 15:47, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Javeline operators map and text

Not sold commerical
[edit]Remove reference to sold commercially unless a source is cited.
This is a military product with likely several ITAR subcomponents. The very fact that only militaries are operators should be apparent that this has not been sold commercially. Additionally, "commercial" is a very specific definition under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 2.101 definition of commercial product. The creation and sale of the javelin is subject to the FAR, and calling any sales commercial is the dumbest thing I've read. Implying that a private citizen can buy one or repurchase one is dumb. 47.32.234.95 (talk) 20:47, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
Javelin S15
[edit]The S15 used an aiming unit head where the camera was replaced with HVM like laser diode projector , the missile then looked back at the the aiming unit and mainatined position in the laser grid projected by the laser diodes. Amusingly when firing in training a javelin RF transmitter was used which would be detectable by foreign actors while the laser grid was not, concealing the actual guidance method 147.161.143.13 (talk) 15:54, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
