Material removed
[edit]I deleted the sections on the Chapela controversy and the laptop incident because they seem to be thinly veiled attacks on Jasper Rine, and do not contribute meaningfully to his biography. Jforsayeth (talk) 23:47, 22 January 2010 (UTC)JF
Stolen laptop incident
[edit]It seems absolutely absurd that there is no mention of the stolen laptop story on this page. Can someone add something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.99.160.179 (talk) 01:35, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

removing the COI tag
[edit]Editor OhKayeSierra (talk · contribs) recently placed a COI tag on the article, presumably in regards to Jforsayeth (talk · contribs), whose contributions were recently raised at WP:AIN. However, that user's edits were in effect a single edit, uninterrupted by other contributors and almost all on one day, and those edits were basically all subsequently undone. As such, that user account is not responsible in any way for the current state of the article, nor is it actively involved in the editing (the last edit under that account being almost a decade ago.) The warning serves no visible purpose, and I am removing it. --Nat Gertler (talk) 13:42, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
- @NatGertler: Thanks for the heads-up! You're correct that I added the tag after noticing the ANI thread, out of an abundance of caution. No concerns from me about removing the tag, so I'm happy to defer to your good judgment on this. OhKayeSierra (talk) 17:30, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
