[edit]As it presently stands, this page surely does not meet wikipedia's standards of objectivity. To give a better idea of the quality of this author's work the page needs to include references to reviews from respected, mainstream theatre critics.
I have added a critical reaction section, but someone keeps removing it. This surely is not a good idea, since it means that the entry, as it stands, gives a distinctly one-sided, not to say misleading, impression of this author's abilities.
For the record, here's the content of the critical reactions section as I originally posted it:
Critical Reaction
[edit]Critical reaction from the mainstream press to Charles's play Counterfeit Skin was largely unfavourable. For The Stage, Matt Truman wrote: "If drama is nothing more than conflict, Counterfeit Skin has it coming out of every pore. Mere opposition alone, however, does not make for dramatic tension...Though themes of dominance and submission, honesty and illusion are handled tidily, the plot is dragged down too many short and unnecessary scenes."[1]
In the Evening Standard Fiona Mountford noted that "Jason Charles takes as his theme a tangle of modern-day gay relationships and manages, in an eye-watering running time of three hours, to offer barely one original thought or genuine sentiment. The dialogue between the six characters, which appears to have been cut and pasted from the greatest hits of the Pet Shop Boys, makes a low-brow magazine agony aunt seem like the wisdom of the ages by comparison."[2]

I have restored critical reaction, it seems to be well sourced. Dan D. Ric (talk) 16:48, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
