List?

Shirataki
[edit]Why can shirataki be a kind of noodles? Most Japanese people don't think shirataki to be noodles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Imperial So (talk • contribs) 16:30, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- The shape is like a noodle so they might be thought of as noodles by non-Japanese people. If we include shirataki, then we should include harusame too though, I suppose. JoshuSasori (talk) 05:29, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Ramen made with eggs
[edit]I don't think ramen can be made with eggs since the basic part of their manufacture is the action of the alkali on the wheat flour. I may be wrong though. Can someone provide evidence for this statement? JoshuSasori (talk) 05:17, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Removal of edits
[edit]I've just removed a big chunk of edits to the article which were made in July. It was very poorly sourced, POV, original research material, using highly dubious blogs and websites as references and adding lots of opinions into the article. This edit was done in July, but I failed to check it at the time and only noticed the horrific state of the article when reviewing a recent edit. JoshuSasori (talk) 04:24, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- In fact these edits were just copy-pasted from the web pages used as citations, very clearly plagiarised and copyright violation. Anyway the article is back to its state in March 2012. JoshuSasori (talk) 04:28, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Bukkake Udon?? Really??
[edit]I don't speak japanese, but this looks like a very obvious case of article vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.108.61.93 (talk) 13:39, 2 October 2013 (UTC)
Bukkake udon is most definitely a real dish. The sexual practice's name stems from a Japanese word meaning to pour or sprinkle (such as the small amount of broth on bukkake udon compared to some other variants), which... Well, I'm sure you can see where the relationship stems from if you think of the pornographic term. I'm sorry if this seems rude, but as you admit to not knowing Japanese, maybe a simple Google search would be appropriate before making claims of vandalism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:558:600A:5A:2863:3AF7:D419:7BD6 (talk) 20:17, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
