"After the receptor associates with its respective cytokine/ligand it goes through a conformational change, bringing the two JAKs close enough to phosphorylate each other." This is either worded incorrectly or the image at the bottom of the page is incorrect. If the image is correct, then I can only say that I am confused by the wording above. I would think that the confusion would be eliminated if it said "...bringing the two JAKs close enough to phosphorylate the receptor..." The original, to me, implies that the JAKs phosphorylate each other, which I don't think is true. Kaustikos (talk) 20:02, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
