Just wanted to say that wiktionary has the actual entymology of the word and it comes from Persian. The Turkic versions are all themselves borrowings from Persian. It doesn't seem to make sense that the word was spread by the Mughals when the Indic languages have been right besides Persian speakers for all of history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.246.59.89 (talk) 17:25, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
