After creating last night, some poking around has turned up a few things that need further investigation, but cannot be used in the main article as they cannot be verified to be in relation to the subject
According to a 1932 article published in the reliable source Fortune, Jane Régny was headed up by Monsieur and Madame Balouzet Tillard de Tigny. This is good enough to add to the article. The following points are not as they cannot be verified to refer to this specific person.
In Le Figaro, 1926-10-28, "M. et Mme Charles Balouzet-Tillard de Tigny nous prient de faire part de la naissance de leur fille, Micheline." - basically, Monsieur and Madame Charles Balouzet-Tillard de Tigny announce the birth of their daughter Micheline. Is this the same couple? (Further on this: Mme Jacques Fouquet, nee Micheline Balouzet de Tigny, reportedly died on the 18 October 2013, just short of her 87th birthday if this is the same Micheline who was announced on 28 October 1926. She left behind great-grandchildren according to her obituary, so seems credible it is the same Micheline. Mabalu (talk) 23:05, 24 November 2015 (UTC))[reply]
In 1938, the de Tigny family - including Charles Henri Balouzet de Tigny (NB: No Tillard) open a winery. THIS Charles de Tigny is reported as dying in World War II in 1942, and his wife, apparently Colleen Ireland; an American from Birmingham, Alabama, took over the business. The info comes from the chateau's website.
It does seem highly credible that the birth announcement in Figaro relates to the same couple, especially as Tillard is present in the name. But this needs verification. I wonder whether the wine-producing de Tignys are a separate branch, which I suspect is the case, as Jane Régny was still producing clothing in the late 1940s per advertisements and magazine spreads, the most recent of which I see on a quick search being La Femme Chic, 1947.
