Other railway stations on this route

[edit]

Obviously Dalby RS is on this route as is Tycanba RS (both on the main SW line). The Queensland Place Names database has Tycanba being named in 1956 and indeed it appears on maps from that time on, but on this 1921 map, there appears to be a railway station in the same place called Mabar railway station. and its existence is confirmed by this 1915 newspaper report about an accident involving its station master. A number of maps e.g. this 1963 map also mark an unnamed station/siding at about -27.14926,151.24364 and other maps suggest there might have a meatworks to the west of that site, so it may have been a private siding to support the meatworks.
