Ross.Hedvicek 18:39, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
In your edit [1] you changed
On December 31st, 1972 Jan Werich signed the pro-reform manifesto 2000 Words; immediately all his publications were withdrawn from bookshops. He was banned from public life for the next 5 years. In the end he succumbed to pressure from the communist authorities and in order to be able to work again, publicly proclaimed his full loyalty to the regime, even apologizing for signing 2000 Words.

On December 31st, 1976 Jan Werich signed the pro-reform manifesto Charta77; immediately all his publications were withdrawn from bookshops. He was banned from public life for the rest of his life.
As this seems to be quite substantial change, I did a quick fact check. Among the first Google results I'd found this Radio.cz article, mentioning the same date and manifesto, as the original version of the Wikipedia article. The Radio.cz article also mentions "in 1977 he even appeared at a meeting of artists condemning the Charter 77 human rights manifesto". Participating in the Anticharta was per definition oposite of signing Charta.
I checked several other sources, and the former version (he signed 2000 slov, not signed Charter 77, and was at Anti-charta meeting) looks like standard history. On the other side, your correction seem to be orginal research at best, so I reverted it.
I hope someone with better knowledge of Werich life will join. Btw, please don't be paranoid. I noticed your edit because I have Werich on my watchlist. --Wikimol 20:26, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
tato povidej
[edit]i cannot find the "tato povidej" work in your list which he did together whith his doughter jana and i enjoyed so much during my long trip from czechoslovakia (as i stubbornely say) to my home in sweden two days ago. it was about 7 cds so it is quite substantial information about his life, i guess. i only don't see the point of who else than a czech/slovak might be possibly interested in werich, ze ano :)

[edit]Image:Jan werich.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
