Modify Lead to reflect current status of the bill?

I think it is now necessary to modify the Lead (specifically the last para) to state that the parliament has passed the bill as a direct result of the nation-wide agitation lead by Anna Hazare. And that the next step is for a standing committee to examine it, etc. --MK 10:29, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Except that's not what happened. Parliament didn't pass the bill. Parliament passed a motion to have the bill considered by the committee so that the protests would stop. The bill may never actually pass parliament; even if it does, it may not in any way resemble any of the current versions. So, yeah. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:56, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Jan Lokpal on Avaaz

There is a Jan Lokpal petition in www.avaaz.org (since the 3rd Jan, the page says):

[http://www.avaaz.org/en/lokpal_worst_politician_awards/?vc Jan Lokpal on Avaaz]

Is this relevant enough to warrant mention on the page itself? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.138.45.141 (talk) 12:16, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Unless the petition itself is famous or has been reported in the media, I think not. Even if it is, no links. Just a mention. The link tends to fail the external link policy Lynch7 13:22, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
