Removal of prod
[edit]I would have to object to the idea that there were 2 false statements in the prod: there is no reference section nor footnotes that suggest that the content came from any particular location and their is still no claim that he actually did anything notable, simply claiming that he was significant to sociology and that he worked for UNESCO says nothing about his notability, these statements need to be backed up by at least one source each reinforcing this idea. As far as I can tell the external link is to a biography for a paper he writes for, which is not a reliable secondary source to prove notability, Sadads (talk) 16:59, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- To say that an article is unreferenced when it has an external link is pretty much the definition of wikilawyering, and the statement that the subject is one of the most influential figures in the development of sociology in 20th century-Iran is a clear indication of notability. If you want more sources then plenty are available from basic searches such as this that should be done before any article is proposed for deletion. And for a recently appointed admin to edit-war a WP:PROD tag back into an article is disappointing, to say the least. Phil Bridger (talk) 18:22, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- I take the hint and clearly I was not altogether correct in my assement, will move it to afd, thank you for clarifying your opinion, Sadads (talk) 19:48, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
