[edit]I started a "History" section; I haven't lived in the city for 20-odd years, and only remember so much - but feel free to add more!

Jacquesville?
[edit]In the article it says that Jamestown was christened by voyageur trappers as "Jacquesville", and known as such into the mid-20th Century.
I grew up in "Jacquesville", and so did my father before me. Before him, my paternal grandfather and my maternal great-grandfather were businessmen there. My maternal grandparents met, were married, and lived there for a while. I also worked at the Stutsman County Historical Society in high school, worked for one of the town's radio stations, and as a history geek immersed myself in the town's history at one point or another...
...and have never heard of the town being referred to as "Jacquesville" by anyone, of any generation, ever. "The Buffalo City", sure. "Peyton Place", sometimes. "J", a few times, by some of us expats.
But "Jacquesville?" Never.
Can someone cite this, or can I spike the reference?

- Spike it or I will. Consider spiking the business section except for the list of companies. It is POV.Sandcherry (talk) 02:44, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
