I'm pretty sure that the James Whittall of this article is this person: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Whittall-27. However, Wikitree probably isn't considered a good enough source. If you have access to something like the 1962 "Biographical Sketchbook of Hong Kong", there is probably stuff in there on him that might connect him to the Turkish Whittalls (see Edward Whittall, for example - probably his cousin).Brianyoumans (talk) 18:37, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
