Article needs re-writing
[edit]Can someone please get rid of that 'worshipping tone' of the article. At the moment it sounds like a page in NME.
- Its because its been copied from elsewhere...its a complete shambles! Rimmers 19:23, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- I can have a go.
- Changed it.
- Further changed (still contained some colloquialisms, such as "hitting the shelves." More info is needed such as birthday and other stuff
- Changed it.
- I can have a go.
Moved from main page
[edit](edits by User:83.67.37.70 ) He performed at this years V Festival (2006) in the small Virgin Union tent, only to be given a ten minute set on the main stage after the tent was full and people were left standing outside, and this was all just after one single!! I think it would be safe to say that James Morrison is no longer undiscovered...
Masturbation?
[edit]I think the "obvious references to Masturbation" is a ridiculous comment. Perhaps some dirty-minded individuals would interpret the line that way, but I think it's fairly clear that that is not how he intended the lyric. Here's the full bit of the song: Sometimes I feel so full of love It just comes spilling out It's uncomfortable to see I give it away so easily The outrageous comment should be removed. This is made even more painfully obvious due to the fact that there are no facts backing up the 'information' whatsoever. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.6.84.193 (talk • contribs)

Singer-songwriter???
[edit]"After years of playing other musicain music he eventually started to write his own", not according to the album notes, he has the same 'song writing team' as James Blunt...
Why?
[edit]WHY is so much positive information on someone who most of the public find vaguely annoying/boring like in the same vein of James "Cockney-rhyming slang" Blunt...what about the criticism of his music? It sounds like his music producer has written it
- Why use a talk page to slate musicians? Joseph C 12:45, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Britain or England?
[edit]This singer's nationality has been changed from British to English.
My personal preference is for the use of 'British' as England is only a contituent nation thereof. Some may argue that England is more specific, which it is, but I think less relevant. I feel that the 'UK'/'Britain' should be used primarily and 'England' can be added (not used in place of) when a more specific description is desired. This would be similar to using the USA and adding the state if required.
Is there any accepted standard on this issue?
Alamaison 13:17, 23 January 2007 (UTC) You're wrong. The USA is a country and there fifty states contained within it. England is not a state within a country, it is a country within a region, 'Britain'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.66.112 (talk) 00:45, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Britain is a country, not a region. Nietzsche 2 (talk) 11:13, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Suggested merge with James Morrison discography
[edit]Is it truly necessary to have two seperate articles for James Morrison? The main article isn't that long, and so far he's only released one album and a few singles. PC78 18:16, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Agree. He hasnt got enough material yet to warrent producing a discography article; all the info should be incorperated into the main article.Rimmers 19:05, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Since no-one objects I've gone ahead with the merge. PC78 12:14, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I meant to agree with the proposal, just so you know it had my support as well. — AnemoneProjectors (zomg!) 19:29, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

"You Give Me Something" ending song
[edit]I'll delete this as soon as I get an answer, but, I just wanted to know if the song played at the end of the "You Give Me Something" video (2nd video in NYC) is another song on his album, and if so, what is its name? --Criticalthinker 09:25, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Answer: It's Wonderful World, his second single in the UK and Europe.
Unnecessary information
[edit]Do we really need to know that he cancelled a gig with a sore throat or that he merely 'performed' at an awards ceremony? Such edits are clumsy and dull. Paul210 08:30, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
DOB
[edit]Why does he have 2 date of births? One's 10th July, the other 13th August?? 82.3.18.24 23:00, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
For a long time, his DOB was set on 10th July. Many other sites have used Wikipedia as a source and now most sites say this is his DOB. But this is incorrect. His DOB is 13th August. Jmcfan 17:16, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Quality
[edit]Have just done lots of edits to try and make it more readable but there is very little info about him on the page or on the web. anyone have any ideas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebmcateer (talk • contribs) 15:26, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
