Finalization of divorce to Barbara Chadsey remains unknown/unclear.
[edit]Hi @Winderz IoT: - I read the source that was put for Tyler's marriages. I'm not sure about the finalization of his divorce in 2014 to Barbara Chadsey. And I highly suspect that sources reporting a 2014 finalization of divorce year would fall under WP:CIRCULAR. Perhaps based on assumptions from the reports of his divorce filing in 2014. But filing for divorce or legally separating does not mean that a divorce is finalized. In fact, the LADbible source provided only states that they filed for divorce in 2014. Though, since reports state that he remarried to Jennifer Carno and being legally married to multiple people is not allowed in the United States, then it's safe to assume that their divorce was eventually finalized in a currently unknown year.
The source from March 2014 mentioning his filing for divorce from his Chadsey was added in September 2017. And that same user who added the source of his divorce filing announcement also added a divorce year of 2014. This seems to happen a lot on Wikipedia the moment a source states that someone files for divorce. Something similar happened to actress Leila George, after she filed for divorce from Sean Penn. Since his filing for divorce from Chadsey was announced in 2014, I have not seen any reliable sources which explicitly state which year that they finalized it (for example, sources like People (magazine) reporting of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's divorce being finalized in 2005). And no reliable source talking about his finalization of divorce was added before his death in late October 2021. The sources I've seen mentioning his marriages have come shortly after his death was announced. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 03:19, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Clear Looking Glass: - Looking further, I'm finding other sources that say the couple filed for divorce in November 2014, so maybe it was filed twice? The only thing that managed to convince me was the quote from LADbible - "He was previously married to Barbara Chadsey between 1995-2014." Other sources I've found say things like - "they remained married until 2014" and "officially divorced in 2014", and these seem to be from reputable news outlets, as far as I can tell. Anyway, no one seems to make it clear exactly when their divorce was finalized. Thus, I'm fine just leaving it the way it is now.
- Thanks - Winderz IoT (talk) 05:30, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- Great! Then we'll leave it as it is for now as the details of their marriage are ultimately unclear. I didn't know that there were sources stating that they filed for divorce in November 2014. The ones I saw were all dated to March 2014. But as you said, maybe they filed for divorce twice (?) or maybe they called off the original divorce filing and then refiled again later that year? But obviously that is all speculation. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 06:34, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
