James Johnston (Irish senator) → James Johnston (member of the Seanad Éireann) – For disambiguation. James Johnston (Northern Ireland politician) was also an Irish senator. — BarrelProof (talk) 04:04, 8 August 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 13:31, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- It seems like it's common to have no "the" before the phrase "Seanad Éireann" so I'd suggest "(member of Seanad Éireann)" if we're going to move. Adumbrativus (talk) 04:47, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- I couldn't find any articles that have either form in their title. — BarrelProof (talk) 06:12, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- weak support - move to James Johnston (member of Seanad Éireann) - I'm not finding a lot of examples, but I did find Nominated members of Seanad Éireann and a section: List_of_current_Sinn_Féin_elected_representatives#Members_of_Seanad_Éireann, but have not found any uses of "the" yet, so that seems slightly better. - Comment. James Johnston (Seanad Éireann member) would probably be better. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:08, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment. Move to James Johnston (Seanad Éireann member) per Necrothesp. Note that "of the Seanad Éireann" is incorrect, its "of Seanad Éireann" in Hiberno English. Spleodrach (talk) 15:55, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- There are two articles that link to the redirect at Member of the Seanad Éireann. They are Benjamin Guinness, 3rd Earl of Iveagh, and List of political families in the United Kingdom (in the place where it mentions Benjamin Guinness, 3rd Earl of Iveagh, and in several similar uses). The first of those should presumably be in Hiberno English per MOS:TIES. I'm less sure about what's correct for the second one. There is (currently) no corresponding redirect at Member of Seanad Éireann; perhaps that should be created. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:35, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
