Miscegenation
[edit]The law against "miscegenation" in Alabama was enacted only in 1927 according to Wikipedia's entry regarding the "one-drop theory"
- I'm not sure this is relevant, but 1927 was more when the last state statute on the matter was written. Miscegenation had been illegal in Alabama since 1852[1]. It might not be relevant though as the law seems to have just been about black/white so may not have applied to Puerto Ricans.--T. Anthony (talk) 01:31, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
One vote
[edit]The article currently states "Stephenson was acquitted by one vote of the jury." How can this be true? It normally requires a unanimous vote to acquit or convict in American courtrooms. Anything else is a mistrial. --Steven J. Anderson (talk) 15:30, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
