The article says Chinlund was born and raised in New York City. Chinlund lived and attended school in Southport, CT for at least several years. See this New York Times article: https://www.nytimes.com/1984/12/16/nyregion/music-celebrating-a-season.html
From the article: "James Chinlund, the son of the Rev. Stephen J. Chinlund, rector of Trinity, has been a choirboy for three years." Trinity refers to "Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport [Connecticut]".
