notability template
[edit]Problematic Wikipedia notability. See WP:GNG for more. Military career does not suffice – see WP:MILNG. Nor does being a member of a particular outfit. Perhaps there is more under his performing career – see WP:ENT. – S. Rich (talk) 01:52, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- Knighten was one of the first
fourtwelve African-American pilots to receive their wings in the U.S. Army Air Corps. As a member of one of the first graduating class of the Tuskegee Army Air Field, he broke the color barrier by getting his commission in the Army Air Corps. I respectfully believe that this does in fact make him notable. Additional citations will be incorporated as I continue to work on the article. Stevenmg (talk) 03:23, 14 December 2013 (UTC)- Have at it! I see WP:POTENTIAL, which is why I did not nominate for deletion. – S. Rich (talk) 03:56, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
