Fight Song & Cheer
[edit]Although the Fight Song and cheer were previously removed with "copyvio" given as a reason, there are numerous other instances of fight songs being posted on Wikipedia, including William Fremd High School, a rival school of Conant's that is also within Township High School District 211.
With the existing examples of fight song postings, as well as availablity of the lyrics on the school's website and general knowledge of the school community, I believe that posting the lyrics falls under Fair Use. --Fumo7887 15:22, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup Tag
[edit]This page is terrible. Are you telling me that there is only one notable alumni from James B Conant High School? Someone needs to do more research. Either include more than one notable alumni or don't include any at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.231.23.241 (talk) 17:03, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
This article is just starting to look bad... The notable alumni aren't all in the same format, the list of activities is unhelpful at best, and the fight song has been removed yet again, while all other D211 schools have it on their pages. I'll be taking a look at fixing some of this up, but in general, this just isn't up to par. —Fumo7887 (talk • contribs) 06:38, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Come on this article is embarassing. I am embarrased as an alumnus of this high school. We have all these great articles for high schools across the country but Conant's article is dreadful. This high school is one of the best public schools in the region and this Wikipedia thing should reflect that. And some idiot out there decided to put this article on lockdown, severely limiting the number of people that can edit it. Quite frankly, there are much more important articles on Wikipedia that are far more susceptible to vandalism but they aren't locked out! How stupid is that, some anal Wikipedian putting a relatively insignificant article on lockdown...who knows, vandalism on a page this bleak may actually improve it! Seriously now...whoever petitioned to put this on semi-protection needs to take some responsibility and improve on this page. If not, then the let the unregistered user edit it.147.126.46.148 (talk) 21:45, 25 March 2008 (UTC)James B. Conant
