Removal and replacement of incorrect text
[edit]I have removed the section saying: "Dundee Royal Infirmary was replaced by Ninewells Hospital in 1960." This was flagged as citation needed as far back as December 2018. However it could never get a citation as it is incorrect as checking any of the relevant articles would show. Ninewells Hospital did not open until 1974 and Dundee Royal Infirmary only finally closed in 1998. If Ninewells replaced anything it was Maryfield Hospital which closed in the wake of Ninewells opening (although it did gradually gain most of DRI's functions). I am not entirely convinced that the future of DRI a century after Dr Arrott's death is relevant to the article, but I have put "Dundee Royal Infirmary closed in 1998 when its remaining functions were transferred to Ninewells Hospital" with a citation for now. However I am happy to discuss further if anyone does not think this works. Dunarc (talk) 23:55, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
